The butterfly
presses its wings together
beauty, bliss

The peach tree is bare
the monkey
rubs his hands

The fertile hare
gazes at the moon
glowing

The gecko pounces
on the unsuspecting
tapestry

The wind
ushers in
cicada's songs

The bee settles on the peony
the suitor pins
his corsage

Peonies' lustful promise
no thorns
of regret
